Volume 2 foreword by John May: "There is a song being sung by these mountains. Under the mist is a mystery, something wild and untamed - a raw silent force, ever-changing and inspiring. Every day she offers us a gift, and touches us with her colours, her peace and her magnificence. And se we create and offer our songs and music. It is our natural response, expressing our gratitude for the beauty of life."
From 2005: The first CD from Blue Mountains Music is now available – “Blue Mountains Music Volume 1” ! It is a must-have collection of contemporary instrumental tracks by Blue Mountains musicians, inspired by their environment…. “The Blue Mountains stand as one of the unique wonders of the world, profoundly impacting in their beauty, their majesty and their ability to draw millions of visitors from the far reaches of the globe to their rocky precipices" says musician Phil Davidson, whose music appears on the compilation CD.
"This World Heritage Area, for many of us, is ‘our backyard’. Its influence permeates our very souls. This musical journey performed by Blue Mountains artists is a reflection of the influence this region has had on us all. Like the Mountains themselves each piece is unique, yet captures something of the character of this region.
If you have walked on these mountains, then you will hear what we hear and see what we see when we step out into our backyard. Phil Davidson
